Artist Statement on homeless people and vultures

When observing the economy and state we live in along with third world countries the number of jobless humans is increasing. Homelessness and hunger result in criminal activities in some instances.  These motives of finding shelter and food for survival are in comparison with the modern day vulture.   My work consists of comparing the homeless and hunger of humans to the vulture in ways of finding food to survive.  The vulture is a scavenger and lives day to day in hope of feeding off of left over dead animals and finds shelter in small caves, under bushes, or hollowed stumps and logs.  The homeless are often found in alleys, under bridges, in cars, or other small less traveled areas in protection from the weather and from the local police stations. The vulture and homeless man never interact throughout the paintings but are linked through actions each takes.
